We are a team of highly qualified, friendly staff providing Early Years education in a rich, rural environment at Barking Village Hall.
Our session times are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings 9.30 am - 12.30pm and 9.30 am - 3.30pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday during term time only. We offer a Lunch Club Tuesday - Friday 12.30pm -1.15pm and from September 2022 we will be offering a Breakfast Club 8.30am - 9.30am (this is reviewed termly and depends on demand). Early Years funding is available for eligible 2 year olds and for all children the term after their 3rd birthday. The Pre-School operates as a non-profit making charity and provides early years education for both local families and those from surrounding villages. Our setting has a designated person to oversee the Safeguarding and Welfare requirements of children and their families in addition to a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Co-ordinator (SENCo) for children who require any additional support. |
The Pre-School is run by a committed and enthusiastic team of staff, who work hard to organise a wide variety of fun and educational activities to meet the individual needs of all children. The group is well equipped with a wide range of resources and has a spacious area within which to play. There is also a large secure garden behind the hall for outdoor play.
We believe in good parent partnerships and acknowledge children reach their full potential whilst engaging in activities based around their individual interests. We also invite parents to 'stay and play' with their children to gain a true insight into how they play and develop in the setting. Staff will create an 'On-line Learning Journey' for each child which contains observations and photographs as evidence of the child's development. This document is available for parents to access and contribute at any time. |
