Over the past few months, Phillip Wilkinson; Chair of our committee, has been working hard to re-organise the management structure of the pre-school. Since opening in the 1980's the pre-school was run by a committee of volunteer parents and staff.
However with the increase in staff and the number of children attending the setting the committee and staff agreed it was time to update this structure.
We are now pleased to confirm the transition has been passed with the following advantages:

•  Limits the liabilities of members.
  
•  Creates a separate legal entity – liabilities belong to the company rather than its officers.
  
•   Comprehensive rules governing the relationship between the members and the   executive committee.
• Relatively open reporting requirements which apply to all limited companies.
  
• Law governing companies is much more comprehensive than laws of associations.
  

As a CIO, the pre-school now has three named Trustees to oversea the management of the setting:

Rebecca Palmer
Dan O'Mahony

The trustees are supported by a committee:

Helen Moore
Sue Coe
Sue Bryan

Well done to all our fabulous children who took part in the Christmas Concert today! You all looked wonderful and sang at the top of your voices! All staff were extremely proud of you and we are sure parents were too (we saw the tears in the audience!).
A big thank you to all who helped this morning and came to support us buying raffle tickets and refreshments; you all managed to raise £201.34 for pre-school! Well done!

I would also like to express my thanks to my girls! You have all worked so hard this term and I am very proud to be part of this strong team.
